CTET Eligibility Criteria 2016: Central Board of Secondary Education has a set of prescribed Eligibility Criteria for CTET September 2016. The CTET Eligibility Criteria is a tool to select the most eligible candidates for this examination. Students need to go through the Eligibility criteria to verify if they eligible to give the exam or not. The CTET Eligibility Criteria is different according to the paper selected by candidates. Before filling the application form candidates should thoroughly check the eligibility criteria. If at any stage a candidate is found ineligible his candidature ship is liable to be cancelled. The eligibility of the candidate will be judged on the basis of nationality, qualification, age etc. The Eligibility Criteria of CTET September 2016 are illustrated here. The candidates are suggested to read the norms before moving further.
Qualification Details for Paper 1 ( Class I – V)
Senior Secondary with minimum marks of 50% along with passed or appearing in the last year of two years diploma course in elementary education
Or
Passed or appearing in the last year of 4 years of bachelor of elementary education
Or
Passed or appearing in the last year of special education
Or
Passed or appearing in the last year of 4 years of bachelor of elementary education
Or
Passed or appearing in the last year of special education
OR
Senior secondary with the aggregate of 45% marks along with the 2 years of diploma in elementary education in accordance with NCTE regulations.
OR
The graduate candidates with 2 years of diploma in elementary education are also eligible as per CTET September 2016 Eligibility Criteria.
Qualification Details for Paper 2 (Class VI – VIII)
Graduation with 50% and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma n elementary education
OR
Passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
OR
Graduation with 45% along with passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with NCTE
Or
Senior secondary with 50% along with passed or appearing in final year of 4 yea B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
Graduation with 50% along with passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education)
Note: Relaxation of up to 5% in aggregate marks will be allotted to the reserved category candidates. Also, the candidates who are not satisfying the above-mentioned CTET Eligibility Criteria September 2016 are not considered as eligible for the exam.
